It was IMMENSE!
such an inspiring session, even if my quad was tight throughout
the session and i bashed my knee badly in the last 15
mins. Best 2 hours of training in my life seriously. A
big thanks to all the guys for putting it on and the training,
was well worth it. |

'Find Your Own Path' masterclass on movement and spatial exploration
went down really well with all the students

Yers, very damn good. I would have really liked to
have met them yesterday, but today has really opened my
eyes a lot more, and I feel like a lot better person and
tracer because of it. Recently I was thinking, "I
cant do anything anymore" and "I am crap"
the workshop really helped boost my confidence and develop
things for me, and now I have been reintroduced to parkour,
and I am really buzzin' from it. |
Each
session ended with 15 minutes of free practice

WORLDWIDE
JAM PARKOUR WORKSHOP
Lincoln 29th October 2006
What
started out as a suggestion from JK Splink turned into Worldwide
JAM's inaugural Parkour Workshop at Kesteven Sports Centre this
weekend.
Fed up with being far away from the Southern PK scene, JK Splink
sent in an email requesting that Worldwide JAM consider staging
it's first workshop in Lincoln. That very same day we had a
call from Lincoln Youth Services who, after quizzing 'some young
bloke, jumping around their car park' wanted to know more about
Parkour and whether we would be able to stage workshops during
the half term break.
Turned out that the 'young bloke jumping around' was Stuart
from Lincs Parkour who had taken time out from college to put
the Youth Services car park to better use.
One thing led to another and with fantastic support from the
Lincs Parkour crew, WJ held workshops Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
and finished with the first official Worldwide JAM, Street Team
workshop on the Sunday.

Session
1. 10:00 - 12:00

Session
2. 1:00 - 3:00.....and beyond

In total, 120 students were put through their paces over the
four days. The premise of the workshops was to keep the classes
small so students could receive high levels of individual
attention from the coaches.

From
the comments of the Worldwide
JAM forums, it would appear that we got the formula just
about right.
Thanks
to all the students for attending and working so hard, the
people of Lincoln who made our stay so pleasurable and to
Lincs Parkour for all their support during the week. You guys
are legends!
