As
Daniel's bro I've been part of the Parkour scene for a number
of years.
In terms of filming and editing I've learned as I've gone along.
It was fun to work on the behind the scenes footage of Top Gear
and it gave me a great insight into all the work that goes into
production.
Im moving to London in the very near future and look forward
to more flming and jamming with some of Parkours best.
Hope
you enjoy the vid and the pics I've put together.
Chris Ilabaca
I
first starting taking photographs a good few years back of
my cousin daniel ilabaca with a humble 1.3 mega pixel compact
camera (which at the time I thought was wicked!). Due to work
commitments and lack of decent equipment I couldn't put as
much time and effort into following my passion for action
photography as I wanted to.
Things took quite a sudden change in my life when I sat down
at the start of the year and asked myself the question "what
do you want to do in life?" The answer, of course, was
photography.
I love parkour photography for many reasons. I thrive on the
challenge of getting that one shot that people say "wow"
when they look at it. Capturing the shapes the body makes
during leaps, the expression of determination on the traceurs
face combined with trying to catch some fresh angles of the
urban environment we see every day makes this area of photography
challenging yet never boring.
Its also great to constantly meet new people and get out to
new places in pursuit of the perfect shot.
At the age of 24, I have quit my boring 9 to 5 job to pursue
my dream of being THE parkour photographer. I have been inspired
by Kiell's success in this field and am working hard myself
to make a living from doing something I love.
Hope you enjoy the pics, now go out there and get training,
Ben Ellis
