FEATURED
CREW:

We
are from a town called Umeå, it's located in the northern
half of Sweden. It's kind of a crappy town to practice parkour
in, because it is very flat. That's why we almost prefer training
in rural areas (woods, rocks etc).
Most of the members of Grounded have known each other forever.
We are all great friends and most of us got to know each other
around the age of 5-7. Living outside of town, we always climb
trees only when we were younger, it hasn't stopped yet, and
we are now all between 18-20 years old). We even have a huge
treehouse around 5 meters above the ground.
Anyway,
when we were younger, we were very explosive. We loved pushing
the limits of what our bodies could take in terms of endurance.
Jumping from tree to tree is just one of the things we did
on a daily basis. After over six years of this, it got kind
of tiresome, and we wanted to try something new.
ROBERT
One year later, we found the BBC advert Rush Hour, featuring
David Belle, and we were hooked instantly. We started practicing
parkour (or what we thought parkour was, there wasn't a lot
of information on the internet at the time) the very same
day as we saw the advert.
A few months later, we arranged northern Sweden's first jam.
Aside from us, two guys showed up. One of them later became
a Grounded member.
Now we've been practicing parkour for over 2 years, and as
most of us still live outside of town, we practice equally
much, if not more, in nature as we do in urban enviornments.

LUDVIG
We've been talking to the police quite a bit, and there's
no real problem with them, nor the authorities. They mostly
leave us to our own buisness.
Parkour is getting very big in Sweden. Nobody knew anything
about it when we first started our, but now everyone seems
to at least have some idea. It's great to see.
My Best,
Ludvig
